Participants wanted – Exploring perceptions of health cues from skin colour and hydration

We invite you to participate in a 30 minute research project investigating the perception of health from cues in faces. We aim to gain insight into whether skin colour and hydration provide cues to health and explore individual differences in sensitivity to visual cues to health. You will be asked to take part in a search task consisting of images of men and women’s faces that appear either healthy or sick. You will also be asked to complete questionnaires regarding your general demographics, your perceived vulnerability to illness, and your disgust sensitivity to certain scenarios (e.g., sharing water bottles). You will be paid 3 Pounds for your time. The study will take place in the Perception Lab in the Psychology and Neuroscience building.
