This 10-credit, Masters-level module is open to all staff who teach and support student learning, including postgraduate tutors & demonstrators. We will explore curriculum design (including constructive alignment) and principles of assessment and effective feedback. This is a practice-based, professional development module which emphasises reflection on practice. (Academic staff may also be interested in the year-round Academic Staff Development Programme of workshops.)
A pre-requisite for enrolling is that participants will be tutoring, demonstrating or lecturing in Semester 2, or have taught in Semester 1. The module is not available within the advising system; enrolment is by application directly to the module co-ordinator, Dr Heather McKiggan-Fee. Applications must be received by 5pm on 25th January 2019.
More information and the application form (with dates of classes) are available on the Postgraduate researchers who teach page. If you have any questions please contact Dr Heather McKiggan-Fee.
