Are you the parent/guardian of a 12-13 year old? A PhD candidate is investigating the link between mixed emotional understanding and resilience, and is looking for participants who are 12-13years old. This study will take place via MSTeams, and a participation pack will be posted to you. The tasks include listening to three short stories, graphing the chosen emotions in the stories (training provided) and completing a questionnaire about their experiences of the stories, their grit, and their emotional understanding. There is also a questionnaire for parents/guardians about your perspective on their child’s experiences of the stories, your child’s usual behaviour, and how you cope with their negative emotions.

If you would like more information please email Francesca Fotheringham (flf2@st-andrews.ac.uk) or the project supervisors: Barbara Dritschel (bd9@st-andrews.ac.uk) and Erin Robbins (er70@st-andrews.ac.uk)
