Urgent: PGR in Computer Science wanted for a STEP project
We urgently need a PGR to be a coach for a STEP project, ideally with a background in Computer Science and knowledge of Human Computer Interaction.
Job Description:
- Attending the weekly project team meeting with the STEP student team to hear their progress updates and offer guidance and feedback. This includes taking note of attendance to identify any persistent absences.
- Act as the liaison between the student team and the project sponsor, ensuring that everyone is appraised of team’s progress, project goals and expectations regarding the final output.
- Reporting to the STEP Coach coordinator team with updates on the project
- At the end of the 6 weeks, review and offer feedback on the project’s deliverables to allow the students to present a high-quality piece of work to their Sponsor.
Dates: 24 May to 31 July
Rate of pay: Tutor rate (£14.59/hour)
Hours: 4-6 hours/week during the core 6 weeks of the programme (week commencing 31 May – week commencing 5 July), but coaches will also spend a few hours between 24-31 May for training, and some hours helping the team with their final outputs in July.
