Call for StANTE: ST Andrews’ Next Top Enterpriser (23-25 June)

Wednesday 2 June 2021

As part of the summer of activities the Enterprise Education group of CEED is organising a series of events that reflect the enterprising and entrepreneurial spirit of St Andrews’ students. It gives them a chance to showcase what they have learnt through their work and time at St Andrews, and how they use it for public engagement and interaction with concerns wider than academic ones. We bring you three events and ask you to join. It is a chance to hone your public speaking and enterprising skills!

It is mostly fun mixed with a tinge of learning!

Project Pitch Perfect (23 June): A collaborative event where you will learn the intricacies of pitching a product to potential audiences, work in a team, and come up with a successful pitch yourself!

Those interested in participating or with having any queries about the event contact Anastasia Ellis or Anushrut Ramakrishnan Agrwaal at [email protected]

Pecha Kucha: They Said What?! (24 June): We’re looking for research encounters of the absurd kind- unlikely, odd, unexpected, or farfetched research that you may have come across in your work. What things/opinions/ideas/theories did you discover in academic papers, archival documents, or anywhere where your research took you? But when you read it, you just had to go… WHAT?

Those interested in participating or with having any queries about the event contact Anastasia Ellis or Anushrut Ramakrishnan Agrwaal at [email protected]

NOTE: We are also happy to discuss the format of Pecha Kucha in more detail with you but here’s a link to the website: https://www.pechakucha.com/

3 Minute Thesis (25 June): Three Minute Thesis (3MT) challenges doctoral candidates to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research and its significance in just three minutes.

For any queries, or if you are a PhD student interested in taking part, please get in touch with the public engagement with research team by emailing [email protected].

NOTE: 3MT is for PhD Students only.

We look forward to hearing from all of you!
