Wednesday 23 June 2021

We are looking for participants to take part in a study about supporting students to choose their own data protection preferences for online learning. This study is being conducted as part of Janis Wong’s PhD research in the School of Computer Science and School of Management at the University of St Andrews.

Participation will be remote and will be facilitated using the online survey platform Qualtrics and Microsoft Teams. The study involves answering 2 short online surveys and testing a new Microsoft Teams application while imagining that you are participating in a tutorial on conducting research on social media. Participation will be remote and will take around 25 minutes in total. Participants must be over 18 and must be a Taught student at a UK university. Once you have completed the entire study, you will be entered into a prize draw to receive one of two £25 Amazon vouchers.

If you are interested, please use this link to access the short online survey. You will first be directed to the Participant Information Sheet which will provide further information about the study and you will have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked to confirm whether or not you consent to participate. The survey should take no more than 5 minutes.
