Moodle and Panopto offline on Monday 16 August
The University is upgrading the system it uses to deliver module pages on Monday 16 August. Moodle and Panopto (lecture recordings system) will be unavailable during the upgrade.
What will the impact be?
Both Moodle and Panopto will be unavailable, so you will be unable to access teaching materials or lecture recordings during the upgrade.
How long will it take?
The upgrade will start in the early morning of 16 August. Please regard the affected systems (Moodle and Panopto) as being ‘at risk’ for the entire day as a precaution.
What will be different?
The upgrade involves some significant changes for lecturers, but for students, the way you access and interact with your module pages will remain unchanged.
Will some things still be accessible?
Microsoft Teams, MySaint and MMS will be unaffected and remain online. For students in the School of Medicine, this upgrade does not affect Galen or Solas.
IT Service status will be updated to reflect the status of the systems on the day.
