Refresher sessions for teaching staff
IT Services and CEED are running a series of in person refresher sessions for teaching staff to help prepare for the start of term:.
Live demonstrations via PDMS
Teaching staff can register for an in-person demonstration of the teaching room technology, Panopto and Teams. These sessions will cover the following scenarios:
- In-person: all students are physically present in the room
- Dual mode learning: students are physically present in the room and students join remotely via Teams or Panopto
- Online: all students join remotely via Teams or Panopto
Register for one of the ‘Using technology in teaching spaces’ sessions via PDMS. These sessions will be recorded and made available afterwards.
1-to-1 consultation sessions
Colleagues can book a 1-to-1 consultation session with a staff member from CEED or IT Services to run through questions specific to Panopto, Teams or room technology.
The in-person room technology sessions allow staff exclusive use of a specified teaching space with a technician on hand. We encourage teaching staff to bring their own devices and trial normal delivery methods ahead of time at their own pace. These sessions will be in-person, and not recorded or streamed live.
The Panopto and Teams sessions will be held online.
