This study is being conducted as part of our, Annie Wilkins and Dr. Ines Jentzsch, research study in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.

We invite you to participate in a research project investigating the formation of muscle memory after learning a new motor task (e.g., playing a new piece of music or typing a line of text). Participation will be online (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Skype) at your convenience. Participants must be 18 or over, have at least a basic level of piano experience (minimum equivalent to Grade 1 ABRSM) and the ability to sight-read a simple melody line, have access to a piano or keyboard at home and have 2 devices with an internet connection capable of holding a video call of sufficient quality. Participants will have the opportunity to be entered into a prize draw for a £10 voucher.

If you are interested, please get in contact with Annie Wilkins ([email protected]). You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details our research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
