Chemistry Students Wanted: Molecular Orbital Theory Questionnaire
You are invited to participate in a research study titled “Understanding the effectiveness of current molecular orbital theory teaching resources and methods”.
This study is being done by Henry Harper, supervised by Dr Jason McNulty, from the School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews as part of a CH4442 Honours Project.
This study is examining chemistry undergraduate understanding of the topic of MO theory and the effectiveness of current teaching resources around the topic through participants completing an online questionnaire.
The questionnaire should take between 7-10 minutes to complete. There are no other aspects of this study to complete. This questionnaire is about your personal understanding of the current teaching resources and methods used within inorganic modules currently.
You will be invited to agree to be contacted by the researchers to be invited to participate in a focus group, enter a prize draw for an educational related-chemistry book/textbook, and/or receive the results of the research project. This is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.
Your participation or non-participation in this study, and any subsequent withdrawal, will not affect your academic assessment in any way, and that no information arising from the research will be disclosed to the student’s School, Department, or Faculty.
