This 15-credit, Masters-level module is part of the University’s new Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP), but if you meet certain criteria it possible to enrol onto just the individual module. It is open to all staff who teach and support student learning at St Andrews, including postgraduate teachers.  We will explore curriculum design (including constructive alignment) and principles of assessment and effective feedback. This is a practice-based, professional development module which emphasises reflection on practice.  This year the module will be taught online via Teams.

A pre-requisite for enrolling is that participants will engaged in some form of teaching (eg lecturing, tutoring, or demonstrating) in Semester 2, and you must have the permission of your line manager or supervisor.

If you are interested in enrolling onto just the 15-credit Curriculum Design and Assessment module, or would like to enrol onto the full PGCAP, please review the information on the PGCAP webpage and then contact Dr Heather McKiggan-Fee on [email protected] for more information on how to proceed.
