Research Culture Project: volunteers needed for discussion sessions
Back in March, we asked you to take part in our Research Culture Survey, aimed at understanding what the research community felt about our research culture and environment. The results are now complete and you can read our report here.
We are now looking for volunteers (from all areas and job families in the University, and research postgraduates) to take part in in a series of discussion groups, to consider solutions to some of the issues identified in the report. Topics will include workload, bullying/harassment, disability, collegiality, leadership and recognition via reward/promotion. If you would be willing to give an hour or more of time, over the winter months, please email [email protected], and let us know any topics you’d be particularly keen to discuss.
This research project (project researchers Dr. Bashar Albaghli, Dr. Anne Marie Craig, and Prof. Julie Harris, School of Psychology and Neuroscience, Prof. Ruth Woodfield, School of Management) is aimed at understanding our current Research Culture in St Andrews, and how we might support and improve it (Ethics Approval code: PS15321). Our project will inform the University’s long-term strategy on Research Culture.
