Have you implemented/organised an enterprising idea relating to a module this academic year? If yes, we want to hear about it – apply for a chance to be our Enterprising Mind of the Year! This is a prize jointly awarded by the Students’ Association and the Proctor’s Office for a student who has displayed significant enterprise in their studies.

An enterprising mind is broadly defined as creating value in the form of novel ideas or fresh applications or adventurous methods or thinking outside of the box. This can be evidenced by work directly within a module itself or indirectly through any cultural, social, economic or practical activities that you organised which connects to a module you have studied.

The award is open to both currently registered undergraduates and postgraduate students. Research students may also enter if they have completed taught modules in 2021.

The prize for the best submission is £250 and the status as the University’s Enterprising Mind of the Year. The Award will also appear on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) transcript. The deadline for applications is 9 am on 7 February 2022.
