Mendeley (Bibliographic management software): An introduction (16 February)

Anushrut Ramakrishnan Agrwaal
Wednesday 26 January 2022

This GRADskills workshop is aimed at postgraduate students unfamiliar with bibliographic management software. Mendeley is a free (to 2GB) web-based referencing service with particular strengths for managing and organising your PDFs and as a search and discovery tool. It is particularly good if you collect a lot of PDFs as it is good at importing and organising them for you. It also has a large online community allowing you to find articles that others have saved in the same area. It is available as a desktop client and a web version, so you can synch your references wherever you are at any computer with internet access. The workshop aims to help you use the basic features of Mendeley, including how to share information and connect with others with similar research interests, organise your references, import references from online bibliographic databases and PDFs and prepare reference lists and bibliographies.
