The Global Office is delighted to be working with Humboldt Winter and Summer University to offer up to six summer programme places for June and July 2022.  These placements can be up to four weeks in length and will be supported by the Turing Scheme.

HUWISU Summer University offers a wide range of academic courses with a hands-on methodology. While gaining knowledge and meeting international students, HUWISU participants are welcome to join the extra-curricular activities to experience Berlin life, and learn about its history and culture.

All courses are open to St Andrews students. Courses are offered in English or German in various fields. Please note that ‘German in the City’ requires a minimum German language level of B2. This programme is open to undergraduate students in all disciplines. Students due to graduate in June 2022 are not eligible for this programme.

Please note that Turing funding will not cover all of the costs associated with the programme. See our website and the HUWISU website for further details

Please note that you will not receive credit at St Andrews for courses taken at HUWISU but you will receive recognition of the placement on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) upon graduation.
