‘This is what I do’: communicating research concisely (18 April)

Anushrut Ramakrishnan Agrwaal
Wednesday 23 March 2022
This GRADskills workshop is particularly for research postgraduates in the second half of their degree and research staff who would like to gain some public engagement experience. Can you capture what your research is about, translating where necessary, in a way that engages people who might not share your background? In this workshop you will get a chance to hone this skill. You will learn to articulate your research succinctly without dumbing it down or making it too technical. And in doing so you will clarify (to others and perhaps to yourself as well) what it is that you do and why it matters. By the end of the workshop, participants would learn how to work with different templates for communicating research, present their research succinctly to a heterogeneous audience, adjust information, focus, detail and vocabulary to different audiences.Booking Link: Request a place at ‘This is what I do’: Communicating Research Concisely
