This study is being conducted as part of my (Rachel Weiss’) PhD Thesis in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews. We invite you to participate in a research project investigating the relationship between mindfulness, different aspects of cognitive flexibility, and memory flexibility in young adults with and without experience of social anxiety. We are looking for participants who are students, residing in the UK, between the ages of 18 and 25 years. Participants for this study will have current experience of social anxiety.

Participation will involve three online testing sessions taking place over a period of two weeks. There will be two one-hour ‘live’ sessions with the researcher via Microsoft Teams, and one approximately 45-minute asynchronous online session that can be completed on your own time. Testing will involve a structured interview, completing questionnaires, and performing some cognitive flexibility tasks. Participants will receive a £5 compensation for completing each of the three sessions (£15 for completing all three).

If you are interested, please get in contact using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details my research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
