Sustainability in the Curriculum – Golden Dandelion Awards – submission deadline is 23rd June 2022

The Sustainability in the Curriculum Committee is awarding a prize to the module best engaging students in education for sustainable development. Alongside the prestige of winning the award, the prize comprises of £150 in book tokens.

Modules submitted for the prize that meet the criteria for excellence in education for sustainable development listed in the Sustainability in the Curriculum poster 2022 (PDF) as assessed by the Sustainability in the Curriculum Prize panel of submitted modules, will be awarded the Golden Dandelion. The list of modules recognised by the Golden Dandelion Awards in 2021 can be found in Golden Dandelion Module List (PDF).

All academics and disciplines have a role to play in sustainability. Whether investigating behaviour change, reflecting on climate justice, enhancing biodiversity, or analysing net zero solutions, all can develop competencies for students to:

  • Consider the future and pursue better outcomes by learning from the past
  • Think critically about the present
  • Work with others
