This study is being conducted as part of a research study in the Schools of Medicine and Computer Science at the University of St Andrews. The study will also contribute to the MSc (Human Computer Interaction) studies of Anli Hu and Ting Xia with the School of Computer Science at the University of St Andrews.

We invite you and/or your child (aged 8-13 years) to participate in a research project. There will be two 2 hour workshops for your child (accompanied by you or not), and a final workshop for just the parents. These will take place during June/July 2022 in the School of Medicine (KY16 9TF). We are developing an app for children on physical activity and what encourages or discourages them from being active. We want to hear thoughts on the idea and suggestions for the appearance and function of the app. There will then be the chance to try out a prototype of the app we develop based on your ideas. We also want to know about how to make sure your child’s privacy is maintained. We will give each child or parent and child pairing who take part a £15 voucher to thank you for your time and effort. We are looking for around 6 children or parent and child groups to take part.

If you are interested, please get in contact using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details our research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
