Do you, a family member or friend live with early/mid-stage dementia? Are you resident in Fife? I am investigating how sensory and digital access to heritage may affect memory and wellbeing among people with dementia. My study will measure levels of wellbeing and engagement arising from exploring 20th century objects and archaeological material when presented; 1) digitally, 2) physically, 3) as a digital/physical blend. I will conduct my research remotely via three online video calls with replica objects and handling material sent in advance to your home. Each call will take between 45-60 minutes and provide the opportunity to take a virtual tour to famous and lesser-known archaeological sites as well as more familiar locations. You’ll be asked about what you can see, feel, smell, hear etc as you explore the place/object, as well as your personal opinions about it and any associated stories that come to mind.

If you would like more information or to get involved, please email the researcher using the contact details below. You will be given a Participant Information Sheet detailing my research and have the opportunity to ask questions before being asked whether you consent to participate.
