We invite you to participant in a research project about the role of oculoproprioception in eye dominance. This study is being conducted as part of our, Zhihao Deng’s, Muntaha Adam’s and Angelee Chin Nair’s, degree in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews. Participants will be reward £5/hour at the end of the experiment or when leaving the study.

Who can participate?

We need healthy participants with normal/corrected vision and who are right-handed. Contact lenses are OK but not glasses this is because of the glasses makes it difficult to use the eye tracker.

We need students with dyslexia who have normal/corrected vision (contact lenses are OK but not glasses this is because of the glasses makes it difficult to use the eye tracker) and who are right- handed.

How long will it take?

Session 1- max 30mins online and Session 2 max 2h.

What will I have to do?

Questionnaires about your personal information and Adult Checklist for Dyslexia (original data will be made available only to the research and supervisor (Dr. Daniela Balslev)).

In lab, the behavioural task will require participants to sit still with their head fixed (on a chinrest) while moving their eyes to visual stimuli such as letters or symbols (X or +) on a computer screen in complete darkness.
