Did you know you can return to University halls of residence?
You can apply now to return to our halls of residence for your second year. It’s not uncommon for students to stay in residence for their entire undergraduate degree.
Benefits to living in halls
No hidden fees, no deposits, fees include contents insurance, gas, electricity, internet, and meals if you are on a catered contract. No reference or guarantor required.
Halls have a great community and feel like home. The wardens in each residence are on hand and together with the Halls Life Committee, run events and activities for everyone. Our helpful residence staff are available for any queries during the day.
Going on a semester abroad?
We can offer a 1 semester contract in residence. For students currently on a year abroad we prioritise you, as you are unable to look for private sector accommodation.
Halls are secure with swipe card access into your residence with most rooms having key card access to bedrooms. Working late at the Library (or the Union)? The night bus runs 7 days per week between 10pm – and 2am free of charge.
Applying as a group?
Agnes Blackadder Hall, David Russell Apartments and Fife Park accept group applications. There is also the option to apply for university managed properties.
How to Apply?
Applications are open for 1 week only, from 12 noon on Monday 6 February 2023 and closes at midnight on Monday 13 February 2023.
Please make a note of these dates, as we really don’t want you to miss it and miss out.
Applications received after the closing date will not be processed until undergraduate entrant numbers are confirmed, this could be as late as August 2023.
Student accommodation is in high demand and as such we ask that you only apply to return to halls if this is your preferred option. If you are exploring other accommodation opportunities, please do not apply to return to halls so that we can ensure those that want to return can be accommodated as much as possible.
Please note that by completing an application this does not guarantee you accommodation. Students will be informed of their application status on Monday 27th February
