The St Leonard’s College Magazine

The St Leonard’s College Magazine is a student-led publication at the University of St Andrews which features writing that encompasses all aspects of a student’s postgraduate life. With our revival of this publication, we aim to showcase the academic and creative writing of postgraduate students and to provide a space where students can share news from the University’s postgraduate community.

Our call for submissions is open to all Schools and subjects at the University of St Andrews; however, all entrants must be postgraduate students. This is a great opportunity to share your voice with the PG community and a chance to be published within the University. We are currently seeking to publish the following:

  • Research papers or essays on any subject you are exploring within your degree
  • Creative writing (including poetry) and short stories
  • Works that deal with themes affecting our PG students or aspects of PG life at St Andrews (essays, prose, poetry, or experimental forms welcomed!)
  • We are also looking to include photography and illustrations/graphic design from PG students!

We are running 3 competitions (short story contest, photography contest, and an artwork/illustration contest) as an incentive to submit your work to us! You can submit your short story, photography, or artwork/illustration, for a chance to win a £15 voucher to Topping and Company. The deadline to submit your work is Sunday, February 26th. Please send your submissions to [email protected]. If you have any questions, feel free to send an email to Emma Campanaro (erc20) or Victoria Brown (vb65).
