University of Padua Summer School, 3-30 July 2023 (0900 28 Feb)
Applications are now open for a summer opportunity at the University of Padua. From 3-30 July 2023, Padua’s summer school will allow you to take Italian language classes (various levels available) and study an intensive course in Italian history and culture. The cultural/historical courses include:
- Urban Culture and Politics in the Age of Giotto
- Science and Economy in the Age of Galileo
- Italian fascism, history of a dictatorship
As part of the Padua-St Andrews strategic partnership, we have secured 5 places at a rate of €800 (including accommodation and tuition). Successful St Andrews applicants will be eligible for a Turing mobility grant. Please see our summer opportunities page for further information. Depending on availability, extra Turing mobility grants may be made available to undergraduates wishing to attend the Padua summer school. Depending on accommodation and place availability, Padua may offer extra places at the tuition-only rate (€400).
The deadline for completing Padua’s application and the Global Office application is 28 February. Please note that the Global Office application must be received by 0900 in 28 February, and that Padua charge an application fee of €30. As part of Padua’s application, you also need to request a transcript, and you should allow 5 working days for this to arrive.
