Have your heard about VIP (Vertically Integrated Projects) modules from a peer/friend and are curious? Want to learn more about the exciting research that undergraduate students are doing as part of VIP projects? Thinking about applying to a VIP next academic year? Regardless of whether you are a past, present or prospective VIP student, this in-person conference is a space for you to discover more about the programme.
A Vertically Integrated Project (VIP) is an ongoing, credit-bearing undergraduate research module led by an academic supervisor and made up of a team of students from any level of study (the vertical aspect). The team of students can come from different subject areas with diverse backgrounds and skills across both arts and science. The VIP programme in St Andrews, established in 2020 with 5 projects, now represents 12 interdisciplinary projects with more than a 125+ enrolled students across the Arts, Humanities and Sciences. www.st-andrews.ac.uk/education/vip/The conference will be held on Weds 15 March from 12-2.30 pm in the StAGE, The Students’ Association.
We will showcase research presentations and a poster exhibition from VIP students based on their ongoing work. We will also feature roundtable discussion with VIP alumni to highlight the benefits of the programme. A detailed programme of the day will be confirmed shortly. Lunch will be available. To attend, please book a space through PDMS
