Library partial closure and Level 1 reopening
In order to facilitate the air conditioning testing which is an important stage in commissioning the Main Library’s new heating and ventilation system, we regret to inform you of an upcoming partial building closure over the weekend of 4-6 March.
Level 2 of the Main Library will be closed from 8am on Saturday 4 March to 8am on Monday 6 March. Access to collections and study space on the upper floors will be available via the Fire Door at the side of the building, but the library will close at 10pm on both evenings. Our 24/7 digital library and all other Library spaces are unaffected.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as the redevelopment work progresses.
In better news, we know how much additional study space in the Main Library is needed so we’ve been working round the clock to get it ready.
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be opening our new study spaces on level 1 for the start of the revision period on Monday 10 April.
