Participants wanted (players of online games): study on attitudes about toxic behaviour
We invite you to participate in a study titled “Investigating attitudes about toxic behaviour in competitive online games”. To participate you must be aged 16 or older and have some experience playing competitive online games, such as VALORANT, Fortnite, Overwatch 2, League of Legends, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, etc. You will also need to have working audio on your computer/laptop.
You will be asked to watch two short clips from the game VALORANT and to answer some questions about your impressions of one of the players in the clip, as well as to answer questions about your attitudes concerning gaming. Participation should take no longer than approximately 15 minutes. If you choose to participate you can opt to enter a prize draw to win one of 5 £10 Amazon.co.uk vouchers.

This study has received ethical approval (PS16777) and is being conducted as part of Zuzanna Hordejuk’s Honours Project in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience, under the supervision of Malinda Carpenter.
