This study is being conducted as part of my, Kalvin Roberts, research study in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.

We are constantly making decisions because of the things we sense in our environment. We invite you to participate in a research project where you will be asked to respond to signals in three senses. You will be presented with auditory noise, visual motion or vibrotactile stimulation of the wrist and will be instructed to press a button when certain target signals are presented. Our aim is to test multisensory decision making by altering how a series of audio, visual and tactile signals are presented to you. How quickly and accurately you respond to these stimuli will inform us about the psychological processes underlying multisensory decision making.

The experiment will last approximately two hours and your participation will be reimbursed with £10.

If you are interested, please sign up through SONA (see below). You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details the research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.

To apply for this study, please register on The University of St Andrews SONA Website and go to: https://st-andrews.sona-systems.com/default.aspx?p_return_experiment_id=1262
