Pianist participants wanted: studying the effects of attention on piano performance
This study is being conducted as part of a Laidlaw summer research project in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.
We invite you to participate in a study investigating how attention affects piano performance under pressure. You will be asked to practice a short two-part Invention of your choice by J.S. Bach over the course of about a week and then perform the piece to a small audience. The performance will take no longer than an hour. A compensation of £10 will be offered for participation.
To participate, you must have:
- Advanced piano playing ability (level equivalent to Grade 8 or above)
