Wednesday 16 August 2023

This 15-credit, Masters-level module is the first core module on the University’s new Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP). There is the option to enrol on just this module as stand-alone professional development, if there are places available.

Supporting Student Learning is open to early career academics, professional staff who support student learning and postgraduate teachers. Participants on this module will be able to consider issues in more depth and breadth than is possible in the mandatory introductory workshops to further enhance their learning and teaching skills. This is a practice-based, professional development module which emphasises reflection on practice.

A pre-requisite for enrolling is that participants be engaged in some form of teaching or supporting student learning in the same semester.

Places on the module are capped: priority will be given to staff enrolled on the full PGCAP. Complete this application form to request a place, and there is more information about the module on the PGCAP webpage.
