Postgraduate Researcher Welcome – Induction, Monday 2nd October, 09:00-13:00
This induction event will give new research postgraduate students the opportunity to learn about University structures, policy, and procedures, as well as to meet and get to know some other new students. The event will cover the following topics:
A panel of staff from across the University who provide help and support to research postgraduates will be available to answer questions, such as:
- Provost and Associate Provosts
- Research Integrity
- Registry
- Postgraduate Student Representatives

Postgraduate Researcher Welcome – Essentials, Wednesday 4th October, 13:00-16:30
The Postgraduate Researcher Essentials session is for all students who are about to start (or have recently started) a research postgraduate degree. The aim is to make you aware of the full range of support and advice (and recreational activities) available to you as postgraduate research student, so that your time at St Andrews is as rewarding and productive as possible.
There are more than one PGR Essentials sessions on offer in semester one – you only need to attend one of them. The programme for each Essentials session involves a series of short introductions to the wide range of support and societies available.
At this event you will be broken into small groups and given the opportunity to hear from support staff across the University.
