Contributions wanted for the GRADskills student-led blog on research development and skills.

We encourage you to contribute to our (and most importantly – yours!) GRADskills blog focused on different aspects of student life and research skills and development. We are looking for c. 600-800-words-long blog entries, personal and informal in style, which you might feel would benefit the wider student community: things you wished you had known earlier, unique perspectives, successes, and struggles. You can see some of our articles here: https://gradskills.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk/author/aap20/ , this being one of the examples: https://gradskills.wp.st-andrews.ac.uk/2023/07/04/navigating-study-as-a-neurodivergent-student/

This academic year we will be covering a range of topics with our monthly themes, aiming at 2-4 contributions on each of them. The first theme of the new academic year will be leadership.

If you would like to contribute an article on how to develop leadership skills during your postgraduate journey, including your insights on self-awareness, impulse control, persistence, motivation, and empathy, then please do get in touch with us at [email protected] . We shall be accepting contributions on this theme from now until c. mid-November, with your blog posts to be published throughout that time. This month has seen St Andrews successful Enterprise Week taking place again, and thus this theme will build upon some of the inspiring ideas behind this initiative. We especially encourage you to write about your experiences of this event.

We would love to hear from you! This blog is possible and helpful to others thanks to YOUR generously offered skills and time!
