Europaeum scholars programme

The Europaeum Scholars Programme offers a unique opportunity to be part of a network of some of the brightest doctoral students of your generation who are interested in shaping the future of Europe. The applications for cohort 4 is open now, with a start in March 2024. At the point of applying, applicants should normally have at least 2 years remaining on their doctoral programme.

The Europaeum Scholars Programme is taken alongside a doctorate in 7-8 intensive modules, each of 3-5 days, at leading universities across Europe. The modules include seminars, debates and workshops with leading academics and practitioners; professional skills training; and substantial teamwork. Over two years, the Scholars operate in small multidisciplinary groups on a project designed and conducted entirely by them to “make Europe a better place”. Each student is fully funded by a scholarship covering all accommodation, travel, food and tuition. Hadil and Florence are part of the 2022-2023 cohort – please click on the links to read about their experiences.

There will be an online information session on Wednesday 1 November 2023 at 1000 for St Andrews students. You can sign up to this or book one of the alternative sessions on 6-7 November.

Applications and references are due on 26 November at 1200.
