Do you want to earn good money before the summer, gain valuable professional skills and work experience, AND make a difference at the same time?
The University’s Development Team is looking for enthusiastic students to chat with alumni and parents about supporting lifechanging projects that directly help the St Andrews’ student community: including Wardlaw Scholarships, student support in the cost of living crisis, and more.
We have a limited number of telephone fundraiser roles as part of our 2024 Telephone Appeal team. We are looking for applicants from all year groups and subjects, with excellent communication skills and a friendly, enthusiastic telephone manner. The team will be set up remotely so you can work from your own private space.*
This role will enable you to gain dynamic work experience and valuable professional skills while connecting with the wonderful worldwide St Andrews community. You will also be working with other students and University staff who want to make a difference.
This year’s Telephone Appeal will run immediately after exams are finished (11th May to 2nd June 2024) on the following basis:
• 11th & 12th May – in-person training in St Andrews (paid)
• 13th May – Telephone Appeal goes live and calling starts
• 6 shifts per week – includes weekends and approximately 3 hours per shift
• Fully remote working (from within the UK)
• Social events – a couple of meet-ups for those in St Andrews
Rates of pay in the region of: **
Training £12.00 | Caller Rate – £12.08 | Calling after 10pm – £12.24 | Calling after midnight – £12.40
