This study is being conducted as part of my, Petra Klimesova, dissertation project in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.

We are constantly making decisions because of the things we sense in our environment. We invite you to participate in a research project where you will be asked to respond to signals in two senses. You will be presented with basic auditory and visual signals and will be instructed to press buttons when certain target signals are presented. Our aim is to test multisensory decision making by altering how a series of audio and visual signals are presented to you. How quickly and accurately you respond to these stimuli will inform us about the psychological processes underlying multisensory decision making.

The experiment will last up to two hours and your participation will be reimbursed with £10.

If you are interested, please sign up through SONA (see below) or get in contact using the email below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details the research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.

To apply for this study, please register on The University of St Andrews SONA Website and go to: https://st-andrews.sona-systems.com/default.aspx?p_return_experiment_id=1262
