CEED invites academic and professional services colleagues to sponsor seven-week interdisciplinary team projects for undergraduate students to run over the summer of 2024 (Monday 3 June to 15 July).

The Summer Teams Enterprise Programme (STEP) is a skills development programme for students to help them strengthen a suite of entrepreneurial skills and wider graduate attributes. The programme consists of a number of skills workshops and a related school-based project to help them apply these skills as a team.

Projects should offer students developmental opportunities for subject or discipline-specific skills, as well as transferable Graduate Attributes. Ideally the output will be of direct benefit to a School or Department’s curriculum or profile, but will also be accessible to students from other disciplines.

Proposals can be related to areas such as (but not limited to): seeking qualitative and detailed student feedback on a module(s), creating an online teaching/training resource, conceptualising public engagement activities, and creating an online resource for the School etc.

The STEP team is especially keen to host interdisciplinary projects co-sponsored by two or more schools.

Find out more about how STEP works, how your School or Department might benefit from sponsoring a project, and how to apply on the STEP web page. If you wish to informally discuss your proposal or if you have additional queries, please contact Stephanie Bowen and Tilly Nevin on [email protected]The deadline for project proposals is 5pm on Friday 29th March.
