STEP is a skills development programme for students to help them strengthen a suite of entrepreneurial skills, and wider graduate attributes. The programme consists of a number of skills workshops, and a related school-based project to help them apply these skills as a team.

CEED invites Academic and Professional Services colleagues based in Schools/Departments to sponsor 7-week long interdisciplinary team projects for UG students. The projects will run in the summer of 2024 (June – August) and give an opportunity for students to apply the learning they take from the entrepreneurial skills development programme.

Projects should offer students developmental opportunities for subject/discipline-specific skills, as well as transferable Graduate Attributes. Ideally, the output will be of direct benefit to the School/Department’s curriculum/profile, but also be accessible to students from other disciplines. Proposals can be related to areas such as (but not limited to): seeking qualitative and detailed student feedback on a module(s), creating an online teaching/training resource, conceptualising public engagement activities, creating an online resource for the School etc.

We are especially keen to host interdisciplinary projects co-sponsored by two or more schools. We also welcome project proposals with current or future plans to engage with the University Scotland’s Future Series.
