SUMMER VOLUNTEERING IN UGANDA.

Opportunity offered by St Andrews Rotaract & Rotary Clubs.

Explore the heart of Uganda through volunteering at Kings’ Norton International School, a distinctive opportunity open to two St Andrews students.

This placement unfolds during the school’s June term conclusion, providing a unique three-week engagement within the school and an additional week for personal travel to discover Uganda’s natural beauty. The students will be collected from Entebbe airport and accommodation will be provided throughout their stay at the school or by members of the Rotary and Rotaract Clubs of Wakiso.

The St Andrews Rotaract Club also offers partial funding for travel costs.

This exceptional experience invites you to fully immerse yourself in the school’s vibrant life, drawing on your expertise and interests, whether academic, musical, artistic, or sporting. Uganda’s official language being English ensures inclusivity, making this venture accessible to students from all disciplines. The essence of this opportunity lies in a genuine openness to connect with and respect a culture distinct from your own.

Noteworthy is the school’s unique position in the region, offering specialized education for children with learning difficulties—a provision often unavailable to them. Here, the virtues of patience and gentleness take precedence, underscoring the significance of your contribution, regardless of your expertise. Your involvement has the power to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those who need it most.
