Summer accommodation application 2024
We are pleased to inform students that accommodation is available for summer 2024 for those students whose circumstances require them to remain in St Andrews. Please note, we do not guarantee summer accommodation.
Priority will be given to care experienced students, estranged students, students with an academic reason for being in St Andrews, for example, internship or those who are unable to travel home due to restrictions in their home country.
If you are a PG student with a contract until August, you do NOT need to apply.
Accommodation will be provided from Saturday 18 May 2024. If you are currently living in University Accommodation, in most cases you will stay in your current room until Wednesday 22 May. If you are currently living in private accommodation, this date will be Friday 24th May.
Accommodation will be available until Saturday 7 September 2024. However, you MAY be able to move into your term time room earlier, for those who have a contract for University Accommodation for academic year 2024/2025. If you are moving into private accommodation, this date is likely to be Monday 26 August 2024.

Accommodation is likely to be ensuite and self-catered and will be charged at £209 per week. We are unable to confirm where the summer accommodation will be located at this stage, as this depends on several factors. We will confirm the location and if or when you must move when an offer of accommodation is made.
The University understands that some students will find themselves in difficult circumstances. If you need to stay in University Accommodation and this leaves you in financial difficulty, please email [email protected] for advice, support, and possible access to discretionary funding.
