Applying for HEA Fellowship sessions (17-19 June)
Getting a category of HEA (AdvanceHE) Fellowship allows you to evidence your professional practice in higher education and demonstrate your commitment to teaching, learning and the student experience. It is increasingly listed as a desirable or essential criterion by employers across the higher education sector.
There are 2-hour workshops each semester and over the summer on how to apply for Associate Fellow, Fellow or Senior Fellow. These are open to everyone in the University who teaches or supports student learning (including professional staff), whether you are planning to apply direct to Advance HE or you have a place on the St Andrews Recognition Scheme (STARS). If you are unsure of which category you should aim for, Advance HE’s Fellowship Category Tool has been designed to help you to select the category of fellowship that is the closest match to your current practice.
There are also facilitated writing sessions where you can work on your application in a quiet space, with a Senior Fellow present to answer any questions you have about your application.
