Wednesday 27 November 2024

You are invited to participate in a project examining how changes in mood affect memory (UTREC code: PS17367). The study will involve watching short film clips and the learning/recall of words. You will wear an EEG headset (dry electrodes – no gel will be used) and a wired webcam will film you during the study, allowing us to assess whether different emotions can be identified.

This study is being conducted as part of my dissertation project in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.

If you are interested, please get in contact using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that explains further details of the research, what is involved and how much financial compensation you will receive (hint: it’s double digits). You will also have the opportunity to ask questions before being asked whether you consent to participate.

You can also sign up by registering for a SONA account and clicking on the following link: https://st-andrews.sona-systems.com/default.aspx?p_return_experiment_id=1327

If none of our current timeslots suit you, send us an email and we can arrange a date/time that fits your schedule.
