Participants wanted – Investigating two-button task reaction times to multisensory stimuli
Project Title:
Investigating the Impact of a Two-Button-Press Task on the Redundant Signal Effect and Race Model Theory of Multi-Sensory Decision Making
This study is being conducted as part of my, Elyse Edwards, Honours degree research project in the School of Psychology & Neuroscience at the University of St Andrews.
We invite you to participate in a research project about how more than one sensory input effects reaction times. This study is investigating if recording reaction times to visual elements and audio elements of a combined stimulus with two separate buttons produces the same effect as when only one button is used. You will be asked to respond to audio and visual stimuli by pressing corresponding buttons whenever you detect the stimuli.
It will take place in Dr Thomas Otto’s lab in the School of Psychology and Neuroscience and will take approximately 2 hours to complete. You will receive £10 reward for your participation (£5/hour).
If you are interested, please get in contact using the details below. You will then be given a Participant Information Sheet that further details my research and have the opportunity to ask questions, before being asked whether you consent to participate.
