Europaeum Multi-polar Antiquity colloquium (28 May)
The Europaeum Classics Colloquium invites papers and discussions about the ancient Mediterranean world, including Egypt, Persia, Carthage, Greek city states, Etruscan federation, Phoenician traders and Celtic polities. It aims to explore the ancient Mediterranean and surrounding area through the lens of multipolarity, and consider how diplomacy, trade, cultural exchange and conflict shaped this ancient world. It is open to postgraduate researchers in Classics, Ancient History, Archaeology, International Relations, and other disciplines.
The colloquium will be held at Leiden University from 28-29 August. Selected students receive accommodation and travel reimbursement from the Europaeum. The Global Office blog includes a report from a recent Europaeum event.
