MEXT Postgraduate Scholarships in Japan, for UK nationals (26 May)
The Embassy of Japan in the UK offers its 2026 MEXT Postgraduate Scholarship Programme for UK nationals, with a deadline of 26 May 2025 at 1700 (BST). This award is offered for Masters and PhD programmes of 18 months or longer. Applicants must be under the age of 35. Japanese language ability is not required.
The award offers a return air fare, tuition fees, language training and a monthly grant of ¥143,000 (£756).
