Are you a woman aged 18–60 years who identifies as a chronic dieter?  We invite you to participate in research exploring the emotional and psychological aspects of chronic dieting.

What’s the study about? This pilot project evaluates a brief online program designed to support women who diet, by exploring the effects of diet culture and introducing body-neutral approaches to wellbeing. The study is being conducted as part of collaboration between the Universities of St Andrews and Brighton.

What’s involved?  Participation will involve completing an online questionnaire (before and after the sessions, approx. 10 mins each), attending two online 90-minute group sessions, and completing a brief feedback form. Sessions include educational content, private reflection, and optional group discussion. You’re welcome to keep your camera off and only participate at your comfort level.

Inclusion Criteria: Women aged between 18 and 60 years old, who identify as a chronic dieter (at least 2 years of dieting + body dissatisfaction), are in perceived good physical and mental health, have access to a reliable internet connection, able to attend both group sessions.

Exclusion Criteria: Individuals who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding, who are currently following a diet for medical reasons; who have a diagnosis of an eating disorder, or other mental health condition.

If you are interested in taking part, please go to the survey link below.
