Lower Saxony-Scotland Excellence Funding (30 June)
Up to €100,000 is available to support projects between researchers working in higher education institutions in Scotland and Lower Saxony, Germany. Funding is provided by the Volkswagen Foundation, for up to 2 years. The deadline for applications is 30 June.
Lower Saxony is home to 26 higher education institutions, including the University of Göttingen, Technical University of Braunschewig, Leibniz University Hannover and Hannover Medical School.
There are a number of collaboration agreements between governments, universities and research bodies in Lower Saxony and Scotland. The Lower Saxony-Scotland Joint Forum events encourage collaboration between Higher Education Institutions in Scotland and the Lower Saxony state of Germany.
