CLIMB KILIMANJARO NEXT SUMMER – INFO SESSION TOMMORROW
INFORMATION SESSION THURSDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2025 AT 6 PM ON ZOOM
We are recruiting the next ‘Team St Andrews’ to take on Mount Kilimanjaro (The worlds tallest free standing mountain) next summer. After having a team of 22 climbing this year, we are looking for our next group to take on the mountain!
The team is open to all members of the university. We will be raising money to support Dig Deep who believe every resident in Kenya has a fundamental right to access clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene.
Dig Deep work in Bomet County, Kenya, home to 1 million people and one of the most underserved and least resourced areas of the country. Here, 2 out of 3 people don’t have clean water, over half don’t have safe toilets and children don’t have access to basic hygiene education.
Through helping children and their families to realise their right to clean water, safe toilets and good hygiene, your support will save lives, improve education, empower women and girls and strengthen livelihoods.
This opportunity is open to all students in the university, I particularly encourage newer members of the university including this years undergraduate freshers! The team is already filling up, and we’d love to have you join us!
To anyone interested, even slightly, I would encourage you to;
- Visit the charities website https://www.digdeepchallenges.org/kilimanjaro. This gives loads more information on past trips and next years trip.
- Check out the St Andrews Instagram Page @standrewskilimanjaro
- Attend the upcoming information session Thursday 18th September at 6pm! Use this link to sign up https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/kilimanjaro-2026-information-session-tickets-1512679147049
- Reach out to me with any questions or queries you have, or if you want to chat through the project more, or if you cannot make tomorrows information session, reach out on [email protected]
I am super excited for the adventure, and I want to make sure the team is too, so please if Kilimanjaro is on your bucket list, then reach out and get involved.
