We all face setbacks in academia — a rejected paper, an unfunded proposal, a missed opportunity. But what helps us recover and keep going?
We’re inviting academics from the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow, and St Andrews to take part in a Wellcome Trust–funded study exploring how researchers respond to professional failure and how collegial leadership can foster more resilient, supportive research cultures.
Your insights will help shape a practical toolkit for strengthening research teams and improving academic well-being.
Online individual interviews and focus groups will take place in October and November 2025.
