Emory University’s Rose Manuscript, Archives and Rare Book Library offers short-term and subject-specific awards for researchers using its collections. Short‑term awards support work in five strategic areas: English‑language literature and poetry, the Raymond Danowski Poetry Library, African American history and culture, Southern history and culture, and political and social movements. Subject‑Specific Awards fund research in seven areas, including African American plays, artist interviews, diaspora media, LGBTQ materials, global Black mass‑movements, and the papers of Alice Walker, author of The Color Purple.

Applications are due 15 May. Awards are typically $1,000 per week. Email [email protected] if selected.
