We are looking for research staff (including lecturing staff) and research support staff at Scottish universities who are willing to take part in a confidential, one-to-one interview about gender-based micromessages.

Micromessages are the small, subtle and often unintentional behaviours and actions that occur when people interact in work settings. They can make some people feel marginalised and excluded, or they can create positive atmospheres that enhance feelings of inclusion. We are keen to hear about micromessages that you might have encountered in research settings, specifically those related to gender and gender identity.

Each participant will take part in a confidential, online interview (around 1 hour) with the researcher. The transcripts from the interviews will be fully anonymised and redacted. Participants will receive a £10 electronic Amazon or One4All voucher.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Dr Csilla Pákozdy ([email protected]).

This research is supported by the InFrame project on research culture, which is run by the Universities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and St Andrews and is funded by the Wellcome Trust. Ethical approval has been provided by the InFrame Ethics Committee and UTREC (approval code: EA28575).

Co-leads: Prof. Gillian Brown, Dr Nicole Tausch and Dr Csilla Pakozdy, School of Psychology & Neuroscience, University of St Andrews, UK.
